Extinct Pengy
I had received a message or two that trouble was afoot at my Pengy box at Reservoir Park in York. There was a rumbling about a geocache that was close. Today I decided to get the ankle biters out of the house and enjoy the beautiful day while checking on Pengy myself. Unfortunately, it looks as if Pengy has become a victim to a very closely planted geocache. In fact, the cache is an easy 10 steps away. Cachers had logged into the Pengy box, perhaps one even took my stamp since it is now missing along with the top to the box. I have decided to pull this box, at least temporarily, until I can regroup. Pengy enjoyed his spot for about 3 years. I guess that's not too bad for the life of a penguin in the mid-atlantic region.
