It was Thanksgiving at the Cape and I have such a fondness for the Beach Plum box. The Caped Coder, Mip, Hydeez Mom, Eman, TNT, Hot Lava and I, along with a few noxers headed to First Encounter Beach. It was extremely windy and cold but quite a fun outing after being cooped up eating turkey for days due to the wicked rain storm.
It is really cool to consider the history in this spot. This beach, aptly named First Encounter Beach, was the spot where Myles Standish and crew first encountered the native Americans. Unfortunately, it was a hostile encounter.
We were unable to find the box. Truthfully, we didn't look too hard because of the heavy wind and cold. But we've found it in the past and it is one of my favorites.
