Anticline

It was a beautiful fall day so we headed East to this beautiful spot on the Susquehanna River. I took another go at the Most Famous Anticline box and this time I found it with no trouble, and even without my compass. Maybe *that* was the problem last time!

The Force was with Us

Alas! The sun was not shining on our vacation so the family finally agreed to go on a letterbox excursion with me! We headed to Barnstable to find the Star Wars series. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The poison ivy was at an all time maximum but we persevered nontheless.

Marconi and Lobster

Yes, Marconi, not macaroni! Cubed and I set out for South Wellfleet and nabbed the Wizard of the Waves and the Stonecroft letterboxes. Both very nice on a great little hike. I had never been to this area and was pleased to be introduced to it!

Additionally, we went to check on Eman's Lobster box. It was missing, possibly due to some pruning to the tree it was hidden behind. Bummer. That was a fun one.

Rocking (and Rolling)

Cubed and I set out again and this time we headed to Eastham. We found a great little path that took us to Coast Guard Cedars.

Also, I planted my Rock (n Roll) box.

Sweltering at Sandy Neck

My newly recruited letterboxing buddy, Cubed, and I headed out to Sandy Neck to find the Life's a Beach Series. It was extremely hot and buggy. We had a hard time finding several of the boxes and at the end of the hike a creepy guy kept us moving along swiftly insead of lingering to find the boxes. As usual, the adventure was fun.

Lewisburg, PA

Yesterday, we dropped our son off at camp and my DH took me through Lewisburg. It is a quaint town. I loved seeing the college campus. On a whim I pulled out my blackberry and pulled up AQ and randomly chose a drive through. As it happens, we were super close to the exact location of it. It was great to find an unexpected My-trishka.

Pond Pirate

I found a few free minutes to plant a new box, Pond Pirate. It is one of my earlier carvings, but I felt he needed a home and this seemed like a good place. And, hopefully, one that the Caped Coder and Mip can find their way to easily.
